In 1937 CERS Cooperative was formed. Portiragnes joined them in 1995. In 2008 Villeneuve les Beziers joined the cooperative and in 2014 they became Alma Cersius and now represent 167 winegrowers with 1200ha under vine.

The terrior is a combination of rolled stones, sometimes bigger than your fist. This warm soil drains well and reflects heat and light, promoting the maturity of grape bunches. And alluvial Clay soil is the other due to the proximity of the Mediterranean sea.
